System requirements

Install

Download the installer from the button above. Only download J-Jones from jjones.ai.
Optional but recommended: verify the file using the checksum steps below.
Open the downloaded installer from your Downloads folder and follow the on-screen steps.
Start J-Jones from the Start menu.

Verify your download (SHA-256)

Open PowerShell in the folder containing the installer and run:

Get-FileHash .\installer.exe -Algorithm SHA256

The result must exactly match this value. If it does not, delete the file and download it again.

Upgrade

Download the newest installer from this page and run it. Close J-Jones first. Your local data stays on your computer; as a precaution, back up your J-Jones data folder before upgrading.

Uninstall

Open Windows Settings, choose Apps, then Installed apps. Find J-Jones, select the menu beside it, and choose Uninstall. Uninstalling may leave your local J-Jones data on your computer. Back it up or remove the data folder manually if you no longer want it.

Troubleshooting

Windows shows a SmartScreen or unknown-publisher warning. Confirm you downloaded the file from jjones.ai and that its checksum matches, then choose More info and decide whether to proceed.
The download is blocked or incomplete. Try again, use a different browser, and check that your security software allows the file.
The installer will not start. Confirm you meet the system requirements and that your Windows installation is 64-bit.
The checksum does not match. Delete the file and download again. Do not run a file that fails verification.
